Choose the correct invitation link
Distinguish administrator login, personalized questionnaire links, and shared registration links.
Screenshots from the original Surveylet guide illustrate the controls below. Layouts and labels may vary with your survey configuration. Select an image or “View full size” to open it in a new tab.
Three different kinds of link
| Link | Who uses it | How to share it |
|---|---|---|
| Administrator login | Licensed administrators and permitted analysts. | Use account credentials; it is not a participant invitation. |
| Personalized questionnaire link | One identified participant or one unique random identifier. | Send to that person only. The same person can use it to return while access remains open. |
| Public registration link | People who register to join the study. | May be shared with the intended audience when public access is enabled. |
Never send one person’s questionnaire link to the whole panel. Everyone would enter the same questionnaire and could overwrite one another’s answers.
Find the survey access options
Open Survey Settings → Survey Access. Choose the option matching your recruitment plan. The registration options can email a private invitation, open the questionnaire immediately, or do both. Direct-access options can use a person’s details or a unique random identifier.
Use the application’s generated links for your own survey. Preserve the account and survey parameters. Test the exact link in a separate participant session before distributing it.

Send private links through Surveylet
In Email Survey, insert the questionnaire link using the email variable selector. {~user_loginurl~} inserts a personalized “Take Survey” link. {~user_loginurl_lastpage~} opens the last visited page. The variable is resolved separately for each recipient.
Participants can reuse their personal invitation to enter the current round. It does not give them access to previous rounds or administrative reports.
Common questions
Can a participant switch devices?
With a reusable personalized link, yes: save the page first, then open the same link on the other device. A generic anonymous link may not preserve identity across devices or sessions.
